Brooks, Reese & Sloane's 6th Birthday

It's hard to believe that Brooks, Reese and Sloane are 6 years old!
Now that we live in Chicagoland we wanted to do something special to celebrate so we took the Trio into the city for a birthday shopping trip.

Reese and Sloane wanted to chose their 1st American Girl Doll.
The experience was emotional for me....the girls were excited to take home their "new baby"...it was so sweet!

Brooks wanted a huge Lego set for his birthday gift.  It took him about 30 minutes to find his gift.  He was so serious with his selection!

After shopping and lunch, we went to the top of the John Hancock Building to enjoy the view of Chicago...

Brooks, Reese and Sloane's actual birthday fell on a school day.  Steve and I read stories to each of their kindergarten classes at school and then came home from school to have a family celebration.

Brooks, Reese and Sloane chose their own birthday cakes and we sang "Happy Birthday" to each of them individually....

Happy 6th Birthday!

The birthday parties were that weekend after their birthday.
Reese & Sloane wanted a "girl party" with a princess theme.  Unfortunately, one hour before the party Reese had a fever and as a result had to stay in the basement during her party.  We used our iPads so she could participate and talk to her friends during the party...

Brooks was excited to have his "boy party"...so we planned a bowling and pizza party.
Steve and I helped Brooks celebrate with 15 other boys...needless to say we were worn out after the party!

Happy Birthday Brooks!

Go Brooks!
