Rain!

This week we have had quite a bit of rain....we needed it! The bad thing is....the trio can not play outside! Ugh! Monday it was raining all day so I met some friends and their children at an indoor play center.
I bought rain coats and boots just the week before...perfect timing!! Here are Sloane and Reese sporting their new rain gear..... Brooks decided to join for another picture...

A busy weekend: birthdays, Popsicles & ducks!

July has been a busy month! This weekend we had not 1 but 2 birthday parties to attend! Saturday, after Gymboree music class, we went to celebrate a 1 year old's birthday. Brooks, Reese and Sloane had a great time splashing in some baby pools.

Sunday, we had another birthday party for a 2 year old. Here is Reese after the party...wearing some beads and carrying some bubbles (favors from the party).
Sloane decided to take the stickers from her favor bag and stick them to her tummy.....

Sloane in the pool....with a cupcake!

There were about 100 rubber ducks floating in the pool. The trio decided to organize...

Left to Right: Reese, Brooks, and Sloane (notice the row of ducks in the background)

Working hard!

Sloane....cup cake in one hand....duck in the other....

Reese working on the "duck line"......

Ducks everywhere!!

The night before (after the 1 year old birthday party)...we had some friends over to cookout. I decided to be brave and buy Popsicles! Yikes! Little did I know that sugar free Popsicles stain skin! Sloane had a red face and red hands the next morning...yuck!

Play at Bounce U

Sloane at the bottom of a slide.....
For the past 3 Mondays, I have taken Brooks, Reese and Sloane to this indoor bounce place. They love it! It is funny to watch the three different personalities and how they play....

Here is Brooks in one of the inflatables.... Reese was having an "off" day....this was the ONLY picture I could capture of her....she was very clingy...oh well. :)

Sloane cracked me up! So independent (a true first born child). She would climb (by herself) all the way to the top of this slide....and then slide down on her tummy!! Here she comes...

Brooks was trying to tell me something....hmm....

Sloane wanted to play air hockey.....she is truly a Daddy's girl...

My friend, Tina, and I decided to get in on the action. It was fun!!

A birthday party for Quads!

Our friends, the Gerwer Quads, celebrated their 1 1/2 birthday this past Saturday. They turned one in January during RSV season...so their parents wanted to celebrate during the summer. I may begin this tradition as well since our triplets were born January 10.
So they had an outdoor splash party...fun!

Our wonderful photographer and friend, Betsy, was their to capture some memories.
Her twins were sick that day and missed the party, but Betsy came to shoot some pictures. Here are a few: Picture by Betsy: www.betsymariephotography.com

Here are some of the picture I took....not quite like Betsy's...he he he.
Brooks showing his "guns"...
Reese and Sloane were having a blast picking up and dropping these bottles....even giggling! We had to warn people before they poured themselves a drink. :)

Brooks, Reese and Sloane

Sloane....are you in there? Notice her obsession with ducks continues!

Brooks...

Reese....

We were the first to arrive....the trio checking out the beach balls....

Playtime at Going Bonkers!

Well, this was one of those outings that I should have not attempted....ugh! Going Bonkers is an indoor play area for ages 1 - 16! Scary! When we first arrived, there were about 3 daycare buses also checking in.....warning number 1 Candace! Then, Brooks, Reese and Sloane wanted to run in 3 different directions....warning number 2 Candace!
Well, I decided to give it a try anyway....the trio did have fun.....after I found Brooks who was lost for a good 5 LONG minutes in the maze of crazy children! Oh, and after I changed a poop diaper for Reese just as we arrived inside....fun fun! Here is Brooks bouncing inside the toddler play area.
I absolutely LOVE this picture of Reese! She was screaming "bounce...bounce..."

Brooks already has a thing for fast red cars...uh oh!

Reese chose the jeep! Not sure where the heck Sloane was.....these are the ONLY 4 pictures I could take. As we left, Reese and Sloane both decided to have a meltdown....well, there is only 1 of me and 3 of them....so I had to "football" carry Sloane (screaming) and Brooks to the car and leave Reese inside (she was laying face first on the floor....spread eagle...refusing to get up).
I am sure people thought I was crazy......when I returned to pick her up she was still on the floor....then I had to change her diaper AGAIN in the car! This time...it was EVERYWHERE...yes....all over her clothes, etc.
Well, at least I can say...Going Bonkers made me feel like I was "going bonkers".

Mystery of the missing balls!

So, I left the room for a few minutes to use the bathroom and check my email....I should have know when it was too quiet that something was going on......when I returned to the playroom, the ball pit was empty.

As you can see, all the small balls were on the floor....but I could not find the bigger balls that we keep in the ball pit...
Until I went to take laundry out of the dryer......look what I found! I am pretty sure this was a team effort. I just wish I could have caught it on film...especially how they got the large exercise ball over the gate!!

New Boots....and Tutu's!

After our large play date, I ran to Gymboree clothing store to redeem my large amount of Gymbucks. I bought the girls matching red boots.....I couldn't wait to try them on.....

A wild play date!

I hosted a splash day at my house with 2 sets of triplets (one of which was mine) and 5 sets of twins plus an infant girl! Check out the backyard! Snack time!

Sloane with her future boyfriend....Caden...or Dylan (they are identical so I am not sure which one....he he he)

Party time!!

Brooks and his girlfriend, Caroline....they love to kiss!!
The play date was surprisingly not very stressful. Everyone had a good time.....but...my 3 did NOT nap that day! Ugh!

Summer Fun!

This summer the trio and I seem to have something going on every day, which is good when you have 3 children going through the "terrible two's"!
The weather has been extremely hot so one of our favorite things to do is play in the pool.

Here I am with two friends of mine that are moms to twins...
Brooks, Reese and Sloane eating lunch beside the pool.

Brooks swimming! He has been afraid get off the step in the pool, but last weekend he finally ventured out by himself!
We decided to give Daddy the day off to play golf....so I dressed up the trio for Gymboree Music class that morning...

A local indoor bounce house place has "open bounce"....so we gave it a try.
Reese seems to like it!

Resting for a moment.....

Brooks shouting "yea" and running around.....

Sloane coming down the big slide...all by herself!
