Halloween 2008

Well, another Halloween has come and gone...we had so much fun with the trio in October! Steve and I also like to dress up. I am not sure why, but we did not think to match the kiddos....
Here we are as a caveman and cave woman... On our way to a costume party!

Here is Sloane...one of our pirate princesses...

Brooks, the handsome pirate!

Reese, our other pirate princess...
Ah yes, another attempt at a group photo! L-R: Reese, Brooks and Sloane. The each had a cute pirate hat but they were NOT keep them on!

Our family photo attempt....there's always next year!

First pumpkin carving...

Well, we carved out first pumpkin as a family...actually, Daddy carved it! After the emptying the inside of the pumpkin, it was time for a bath. Brooks decided he wanted to try on Daddy's shoes...isn't he cute? Here is our finished Jack-O-Lantern!

Reese like patting the pumpkin....

Sloane is checking out the pumpkin seeds....

Brooks is helping Daddy with the top....notice Reese in the background...getting ready to unroll the toilet paper! Ugh!

We made the mistake of carving the pumpkin in our bathroom...a place where the trio never goes. They were more interested in the bathroom than the pumpkin....he he he. Here they are from L-R: Brooks, Reese and Sloane...with her blond hair!

Pumpkin Patch

This was our 1st year to attend the pumpkin patch. Last year, Brooks, Reese and Sloane were too young and we had to be cautious taking them out during RSV season.
Here is Reese running at the pumpkin patch. She was not really in the mood to stop for pictures.
Brooks (Mommy's Boy) was eating a snack when I snapped this picture.

Our family....it is impossible to get everyone to look at the camera. There's always next year! :)

Sloane...she LOVED the pumpkin patch and explored the entire time. We could not keep her still....she was curious about the pumpkins, gourds and the hay.

This group shot is a little better...from left to right: Sloane, Daddy, Reese, Mommy and Brooks.
We had a wonderful time...beautiful weather...and both grandmas (Mimi and Yaya) where able to come with us to enjoy the day!

Halloween Party at The Little Gym

Well, we were able to give our Halloween costumes a trial run at the Little Gym. They had a Halloween party....well, it was more like a work-out for Mommy and Daddy...chasing three toddlers! We did catch some cute shots... Here's Brooks on the balance beam....
Reese chilling on the mats....
Sloane sitting like a "big girl" in a chair....
Our little pirates....
An attempt at a group photo....at least Brooks was looking! :)

I can't believe our "babies" are 21 months old today!

Here is Reese playing at Gymboree.... Sloane, ready to get in the car to go to Gymboree!
Brooks was sad, but quickly changed his mood when he heard we were leaving for Gymboree!
Reese...you are actually posing! Future model?

Playing...

Brooks, Reese and Sloane have started to enjoy climbing on each other and "wrestling". This is just a typical afternoon at home.....L-R: Reese, Brooks Sloane. Brooks seems to be "winning".
Isn't he handsome? :)

He was trying to tell me something here....he is talking more and more everyday! His favorite words now are "circle", "dog dog", "shoe", and "see". The girls...Reese on top of Sloane

The New Fence

Last April, we had a tornado travel over our home! Needless to say, we lost our entire fence for our side yard. My husband and some of his friends decided to save money by rebuilding the fence themselves! This is has proven to be a HUGE task, but I am proud of my husband and his buddies for all their hard work. Steve with his latest project...he is so proud!

We have been busy....

Things have been busy at our house for the past 2 weeks! Brooks, Reese and Sloane are now settled into Mother's Day Out for 2 days a week. On those days, I come home and enjoy the silence! I try to clean the house and do laundry while everyone is away. :)
We bought Brooks his very own Dallas Cowboys Football jersey. He wears it every Sunday so he can watch football with Daddy. Isn't he cute? Brooks is also talking more and more every day. His new words are "dog dog" for dog and "circle" for all shapes. We keep trying to teach him "square" and triangle" and he still responds "circle". He also loves to point at his own eyes and say "eyes".....so cute.
All of them LOVE to take a bath! Here are Sloane and Reese in the bath (Reese with her Mohawk hairdo).
Hmmm....I wonder what she is thinking?
Since the tornado last April, we have not had a fence around our side yard. Steve and some of his friends have been building a new fence. They worked on it all day and night last Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is quite a task, but I must say that they have done an excellent job! This coming weekend will be devoted to nailing up the boards....then we will have a new fence!
