Spring Break...a little late!

Well, we had an adventurous Spring Break! Brooks, Reese and Sloane are 3 years old now and they need to keep busy or there will be sibling rivalry!

Reese and Sloane were having fun giggling and hugging one day before we left the house. I captured this photo of the two of them hugging!
That Monday, we started the week at the Dallas Arboretum. The flowers are in bloom so we were able to see and smell various types of flowers. Here is Reese with her friend, Addison, giggling and holding hands!

The next day, we went on a tour at the neighborhood fire station. The loved the fire engine!
Sloane was even flirting with the firemen!

On St Patrick's Day, we had a play date at the park with some of our multiples friends. Here we are on the slide!

By the end of Spring Break, we woke up to snow! Texas weather can be so crazy.....
Here are Sloane and Reese...now in coats and hats.

St Patrick's Day Parade

Luckily, we had beautiful weather for the Annual Greenville Ave. St Patrick's Day parade in Dallas! Last year, we brought Brooks, Reese and Sloane to the parade wearing their winter coats....not the case this year!

The weather was perfect...not to mention our close parking spot!
Here we are waiting for the parade....notice the pink potty seat on top of the cooler!
The crowd at the parade!

Brooks, Reese and Sloane waiting for the parade to begin...

Our first "tailgate"!

The parade is about to begin!
"Off to the parade"!

1st trip to the dentist and GOOD news!

Brooks, Reese and Sloane went to their 1st appointment to the dentist this week. Steve was at work so I had to take them alone. Normally it is not an issue, but since this was a new place...and the fact that it was raining outside...well it was quite an adventure!

As expected, Brooks, Reese and Sloane all had different reactions to the dentist.

Reese would NOT allow anyone to look inside of her mouth! I had to sit in the chair and hold her, but she still would not open her mouth. We finally talked her into a brief teeth brushing with a promise to visit the "prize" drawer if she opened her mouth!

Here is the ONLY picture I managed to capture.....
Brooks was a little better, although he did not want his teeth cleaned with the electric cleaner. Instead, they were able to use a tooth brush.
Here he is with the dentist....I love his sunglasses!

Sloane LOVED the dentist! She even had her teeth cleaned with the electric cleaner! Sloane giggled during the cleaner which made it easier for the hygienist!

Brooks....he was curious about the machine...

Some video of the appointment....mostly of Brooks and Sloane. Again, Reese was not happy to be there!

On a good note, Reese is officially a "panties girl"! Yes, this is the first week she has worn panties and had zero accidents! I am so proud of her, yet sad that my baby girl is growing up!

5th wedding anniversary, photo shoot and fire station

Things have been crazy in our house! Brooks, Reese and Sloane are showing us their "3 year old personalities"...still working on the potty training with Reese...Steve and I celebrated 5 years of marriage!
Below is a message that Steve wrote himself for me...symbolizing our 5 years together.
The jewelry box Steve made for me..the message is on the top.

Dinner that night at Kenny's Wood Fired Grill. "Wood" is the theme for the 5th wedding anniversary. The dress I wore that night was new and Steve did not see it until I took off my coat at dinner!
The next day, Brooks, Reese and Sloane had their 3 year old pictures taken by our friend, Betsy.
Here is a story board that Betsy created: http://www.betsymariephotography.com

I captured this shot of the trio after the photo shoot...notice that we began with 6 balloons and were down to 3 balloons. As expected, Brooks, Reese and Sloane would NOT allow us to tie the balloons to their wrists.

As luck would have it, on our way home from the photo shoot...our neighborhood fire station had a grand opening after some renovations...

Brooks and Mommy...

This picture cracks me up! They were so excited all they could do was yell. :)

Daddy and Reese

Children were allowed to climb inside an Ambulance and look around.....Brooks, Reese and Sloane loved it!

Sloane...a future firefighter!

Lately, naps at Mother's Day Out have been hit or miss. Unfortunately, when Brooks, Reese and Sloane come home they can be extremely grumpy and fight! One afternoon, Sloane and Brooks were in the playroom but I did not hear Reese. Sure enough, she had fallen asleep in the middle of the floor....

On the days they are home with me, Brooks and Reese usually nap but Sloane does not....so sad for me! I decided to keep Sloane busy since she was not sleepy....she actually folded and lined up these socks all by herself! I may teach her how to use the vacuum next!!

Reese is almost potty trained!! On top of that, she amazes me with her art talents.
She drew this picture all by herself and called it "Reese"...a self portrait at 3 years old.
She even gave herself 2 eyes, a mouth and hair!
