Holiday photo shoot with Betsy

It is hard to believe that another year has almost gone by....time for our annual holiday photo shoot with my friend Betsy.

This picture was taken after the shoot...we went out for lunch...Brooks decided to make a mask from a tortilla. He did this all by himself (we think he remembered back from the summer when Steve did the same thing at lunch)....anyway, he was very proud of his mask... I took a few pictures with my camera while Betsy was shooting photos of the children.
Here is Reese...not too happy...

Santa at the mall!

One of the malls close to our house just remodeled their play area. For the grand opening, Santa was there to greet all of the children!

There was also, food, face painting and balloon animals!

Here are Brooks, Reese and Sloane watching the "balloon man" in action. Sloane seems very excited! Sloane....

First meeting with Santa

Well, I took Brooks, Reese and Sloane to play in the mall play area....only to find out once we arrived it was closed for remodeling! ugh! They were screaming and wanting to go play...
Luckily, the Santa display along with the Polar Express and "snow" was already up and running so we decided to check it out!
Sloane 's expression is priceless in this picture. She walked into the area where a snow machine was hanging from the ceiling...sprinkling snow down on her....so was so surprised and and made several "ooh" and "ahh"..so cute. Wish I had video! Where is the snow coming from?

Maybe I can catch some snow!

Reese decided to strike a pose near the water fountain.

Sloane and Reese in the "snow" room...

The Polar Express train engine room. Complete with wheels to turn and a break stick (to the right). It makes a loud noise when you pull it!

Santa came out to greet us...so exciting! Brooks was not too sure about him...

Sloane giving Santa a high five...

As you can see, independent woman, Sloane, loved Santa!

Santa playing in the snow!

While taking many of these photos I became teary eyed.....my babies are growing up and experiencing things for the first time! Sloane really made me cry with her excitement and expressions about the snow and Santa.

Keeping the Trio busy

Well, the weather is finally nice again so I have been keeping the Trio busy!

They attend preschool on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Sadly, most school days they do not nap!

Here is Brooks on Thursday at home. As you can see, he basically fell asleep partially standing up. Guess he finally decided to move into the chair!

On Friday, I took Brooks, Reese and Sloane to a local train museum for story time. It was great and they actually sat and listened! There were stories and puppets, followed watching a small train set and then off to walk inside a caboose train car.
Here are Brooks, Sloane and Reese eating on a bench outside of the museum. There was also a playground!

Brooks driving the caboose!

Later, myself along with another triplet mom and two twin moms decided to ride our local public train system....the DART!
Here is Sloane...she is so excited to ride on a train for the first time!
We rode down to another station and had lunch! Yes, 10 children and 4 moms!

Halloween weekend...we were busy!

Well, luckily our family was over the flu so we could enjoy the Halloween festivities. Brooks, Reese and Sloane had the opportunity to participate in 2 parties at their preschool since they attend 3 days a week!

Brooks actually allowed a lady to paint his face like a tiger: Reese working on her pumpkin project during the party...

Sloane and her pumpkin...

The finished pumpkins!

Reese and Sloane at party number 2!

Ahh juice boxes! Mommy never lets us have these at home. :)

On Friday, October 30, my local Moms of Multiples group met at a local mall to parade our children in their costumes. Here are Sloane, Reese and Brooks off to march in the parade!

Getting ready to go!

Some of our group...attempting a group photo! :)

Our family...

Steve was able to take the day off, we had a family day. After the parade, we ate lunch and then the trio wanted to go watch the "horses". Here they are at the carousel:

That night, Steve and I were off to a costume party for the "big kids". Here I am with some of my "twin mom" friends: (L-R) Jennifer, Tina, Candace and Toni.

"Octo Mom" and her fertility doctor! Thanks to my friend, Tanya, for the idea! :)

Here I am with girlfriends Casey and Toni. Casey has quads and Toni has twins.

Halloween day, we took Brooks, Reese and Sloane to the Dallas Arboretum for their pumpkins!

On Halloween night, our good friend (and photographer) Betsy, invited us to a party in her neighborhood. They had a sort of "practice: trick-or-treating session before the actual trick-or-treating. Here's Steve with the trio trying to teach them how to put the candy in their bags.

Our first house for trick-or-treating...this man gave out wine to the "big kids"...how cool!
We told him we would come back for seconds! :)

Reese and Sloane caught on pretty quick! I love how Reese is checking out her loot!

More candy!

The weekend concluded on Sunday with a birthday party for some twin friends. Their daddy dressed up like Elmo....so fun!

As you can see in the picture above, Reese was not too sure about Elmo at first but then she warmed up to him...

We had a wonderful first Halloween with Brooks, Reese and Sloane. It is so fun to see them grow and enjoy new experiences for the first time. I can hardly wait for the holidays this year!
