1st week of Kindergarten

I truly understand the phrase "where did the time go?" This past week, Brooks, Reese and Sloane started Kindergarten in our new city.  I can't believe my babies are already going to school!
I had hoped to place each of them in a separate classroom, but our new school only had 2 Kindergarten classes.  Sloane is in a class all by herself, and Brooks and Reese are in a class together.

Reese and Brooks with Mrs Taylor at Meet the Teacher
This year, Brooks, Reese and Sloane attend full day Kindergarten and even ride a bus to school!  They also have their own "big kid" locker

Brooks, Reese and Sloane were so excited on the 1st day of school! While they were all smiles and laughter, I was sad on the inside.  I had to fight not to cry in front of them!

New Kindergarten backpacks!

My babies are all grown up!

Our new house on the 1st day of school...it was a beautiful morning...perfect!

The neighborhood Kindergartners at our bus stop....7 total this year!

Brooks was so excited!  He almost got on the bus without even giving me a hug goodbye!  My big independent boy....I had to run over and hug him at the bus door!

Reese getting on the bus for school!  At least she did give me a hug goodbye...so did Sloane!  My sweet girls!

My neighbors....also Kindergarten Moms on our street!  We successfully placed our babies on the school bus!

Destin vacation

July was a crazy month with our move from Dallas, Texas to Chicago so we were more than ready for our summer vacation to the beach!  This was our 3rd summer to travel to Destin with Brooks, Reese and Sloane....needless to say we were all very excited for some family time!
We actually drove from Chicago to Destin...just 15 hours. :-)

One of the things we like to do at the beach is make sandcastles.  This summer, Brooks, Reese and Sloane were able to help with the task!
Our family with one of our sandcastles.
Steve became a master of building sandcastles....look at this one!

A sunset walk on the beach...
Our sandcastle was still up that night!

Dinner out with the family

Playing volleyball....who knew Brooks, Reese and Sloane would like to play!

Feeding the seagulls....

Brooks, Reese and Sloane also surfed on the waves with boogie boards...
 Three little surfers!

Reese and Sloane buried Brooks in the sand a few times during the week.  He seemed to like it!

Another sunset walk on the beach!

Brooks, Reese and Sloane wanted tattoos and the girls also got a braid in their hair

Dinner at Pompano Joe's Seafood House on our last night in Destin!  We loved this place, especially the view of the ocean from our table.
