Potty Piggy Banks

We are in the process of potty training Sloane and Brooks. Sadly, Brooks does not show much interested but Sloane is making progress. Steve thought of the idea of "potty" piggy banks.
If they go number 2 in the potty....money in the bank!
The first day we tried this, Brooks, Reese and Sloane took their piggy banks to bed.
I capture Brooks asleep in the chair with his piggy... The "potty" piggy banks!

Ennis Bluebonnet Festival

This past weekend, we traveled to Ennis, Texas for a family photo shoot followed by a visit to the annual Bluebonnet Festival. The shoot was Friday afternoon, so we decided to spend the night in a hotel with Brooks, Reese and Sloane. It sounded like a good idea at the time...little did we know what the night had in store for us! First, the Trio (along with Mommy and Daddy) are used to sleeping with a humidifier on for noise. Guess what we forgot at home?? Second, Brooks, Reese and Sloane sleep in toddler beds at home so we just placed the mattress on the floor for their bed. Bad idea!! The three of them were bouncing from mattress to box spring until almost 11:00 that night! Needless to say, none of us slept much.

Here is a picture of the 5 of us before the night in the hotel...

Feeding the ducks!

This week before the rain, I decided to take Brooks, Reese and Sloane down to the pond in our neighborhood to feed the ducks. I grabbed some old hot dog buns and a few slices of bread...

Sloane LOVED the ducks! Here she is giving them bread.. I was laughing because Brooks. Reese and Sloane were saying "here you go duckies...here you go"...

The bread was gone fast! Then I had three screaming children asking for more bread....

We will have to feed the ducks again soon! On the way home, all I heard from the back seat was "quack quack...quack quack...."

Texas Bluebonnets!

We took Brooks, Reese and Sloane for a photo shoot with Betsy in a field of beautiful Bluebonnets.
Here is a shot of the field... That evening, Brooks, Reese and Sloane were not very cooperative for the photo shoot. We also bought our camera to try and take some photos.
Here's Reese resting her head on Steve's shoulder...

Spring at the Dallas Arboretum

Spring is here! Brooks, Reese and Sloane love to be outside so we took a trip to the Dallas Arboretum. I love to see their excitement as they observe flowers, birds and bugs!

They also love to run:

Reese would not smile for me, but I just loved the colors in this photo...

I was literally jumping up and down like a monkey to get all 3 of them to smile for this picture!

Finally, a smile from Reese!

These tulips were beautiful!

Sister love...

It was a beautiful day at the Dallas Arboretum. Brooks, Reese and Sloane had a blast running and giggling...and watching their mother jump up and down like a monkey! Even after all that fun, Sloane still did not take a nap!
