Memorial Day 2009

We took Brooks, Reese and Sloane to the Dallas Arboretum for Memorial Day. They had live music as well as a petting zoo. Sadly, it was extremely hot and humid that day. Sloane playing in one of the story houses.....

Cook-out.....

The day before Memorial Day, our friends Betsy and Dan came over with their 3 year old twins. We had a cook-out with 4 adults and 5 children. The adults actually were able to sit down with beverages and hang out while the children played together. Betsy (who is also our amazing photographer) brought her camera and snapped a couple of photos.
You can find her work at: www.betsymariephotography.com

We took Brooks, Reese and Sloane to a social event with my local mother of multiples group. They each had a costume to wear while they played games that focused on super heroes...so cute!

A day out with friends

The weather last week was beautiful, so we decided to meet some friends to play. There are some cute play house in Allen, Texas. They include: a firehouse, a train station, a gas station and a bank. Here is Brooks sitting with his buddy, Jack, in the train station.
Our twin friends, Jack and Caroline, sitting in the train station.
The trio....I actually got a picture with everyone looking at me! L-R: Sloane, Reese & Brooks.

Brooks and Sloane...getting ready to pump some gas!

Sloane was very interested in the gas pump.....

Reese vary rarely like to have her picture taken....today she was in a good mood. :)

Brooks....my handsome little man...notice his T-shirt....he he he....

There is a kid friendly maze next to the play houses. The trio loved running through the maze and hiding. They were giggling so much...love it!

Playing!

Now that the weather is finally getting warmer, we have been able to play outside. It is a nice change for the trio....and they definitely know the word "outside!"
Here they are playing "inside" after a couple of hours outdoors. Reese and Sloane were having their own conversation on the floor, while Brooks was being creative with 2 Lego's....he uses them for everything...cars...telephones...instruments...etc. Sloane and Reese.....sharing together....for the moment.

This is the water table my in-laws bought for the trio for Christmas. We can finally use it!

We are still trying to establish water table rules like NO STANDING or SITTING in the water table! Ugh! They do love it...as you can see every single toy is inside the table!

The girls....sharing again! They are on a role...woo hoo!

Mother's Day 2009

What an amazing Mother's Day Weekend......we were on the go both Saturday and Sunday. I was so tired that I skipped the gym on Monday!

Anyway, we decided to have a dinner with our entire family. Here we are before dinner....I am holding our 7 week old nephew, Josh. Brooks was so sweet...and curious....he would stroke his head and say "soft" and "baby".
After dinner, we came home to attempt some pictures outside.....here is the trio...running down our street!!

Coming out the front door........

Brooks at dinner....he is such a Mommy's Boy...

Reese and Sloane hugging....I love the expression on Sloane's face.

Our neighbor is adding on to his home. This mini tractor is out in front of his house....so the trio decided to test drive it.......

I have the most amazing husband! He (and the trio) made this for me for Mother's Day....yes, he MADE this with his own two hands!

Each child has a hand print....inside the heart, Steve listed my birthday, his birthday, our wedding anniversary and the trio's birthday.....so sweet.

The trio made these for me at Mother's Day Out....love them!

Brooks with Josh...some day they will be playing together. :)

Sloane and Reese sporting their first set of "piggy tails".

What a blessing it is to be a mother........some days are crazy but in the end...I would not have it any other way.
