Holiday Fun!

Another holiday season is here and we have already participated in several activities!

My mother of multiples group has a children's holiday party every year. Here we are:
Reese asked to have an orange butterfly painted on her face. She could have had a snowman, Santa, or Christmas Tree...but she chose the butterfly.
Sloane and Reese made these at the holiday party. They even wrote their names! They are growing up so fast...makes me sad.
After the holiday party, we attended a free family event. This was the caricature we had made of the Trio:
The wait for this picture was over and hour. Luckily we were able to keep Brooks, Reese and Sloane entertained because the picture came out very nice!

Waiting to have our picture made...it was a LONG wait!

After seeing Santa at the mall, I took this picture of the Trio. They look so grown up in this picture!

Thanksgiving Weekend

This year for Thanksgiving, I was hoping Brooks, Reese and Sloane might eat the traditional turkey dinner with us. Sadly, this was not the case! Instead, they had chicken fingers, fruit and yogurt. I guess chicken and turkey are close...right?
Brooks, Reese and Sloane made place mats at preschool this year.

Aren't they cute?

Later that weekend, TCU played it's final game of the season. As always, the Hickey Family dresses in purple to support the Horned Frogs. Reese cheered so hard that she fell asleep on Steve.
That night after dinner, Reese was showing off her writing skills.
I see "R", "E", "E", "S" and "E"......she is off to a good start!
The next night, the girls moved to the letter magnets to spell their names.

Earlier that day, Sloane had fallen out of her chair at the table (she does not sit her in chair), thus the huge bruise on her forehead.

The Trio"s 1st TCU game!

We finally took Brooks, Reese and Sloane to a TCU football game in Ft. Worth. It was the last game in the Amon G. Carter Stadium before renovations begin for next year.
We stopped by the TCU book store to stock up on TCU gear...

I have many fond memories of cheering for TCU on this field. Luckily, I was there to see the last game played inside the stadium before all of the changes for the renovation.

The Hickey Trio is having fun!

Brooks, Reese and Sloane have been so fun! Yes, they drive me crazy at times with the "tumultuous three year old" behavior, but the next minute they are saying the cutest things or doing things that make me laugh!

I have been teaching Brooks, Reese and Sloane how to say "Go Froggies"! They have learned quickly and even cheered "Go Froggies" during the World Series when the Texas Rangers were playing.
Every Saturday, they wear their TCU gear:
Here are Reese, Sloane and Brooks just 1 year ago doing a cheer for the TCU Horned Frogs! They have grown so much!
Reese loves to draw and color. She has become a true artist...she drew this spider all by herself!
Sloane is following in my footsteps as a future TCU cheerleader!
Brooks loves his Lego's! He plays with them daily and builds some creative and detailed projects. This is his "rocket ship".
This picture still makes me laugh! I was in my bedroom folding laundry and returned to living room to find this chair with socks on the legs. Sloane had decided that the chair wanted to wear socks.
Reese and Sloane have become really close. They love to hug and call each other "sister".
Sloane, Brooks and Reese love the Apple Store. Occasionally, I will take them to "play" on the iTouch or iPad.
I have noticed lately that Brooks will tell his sisters that he loves them. So cute! I feel like my babies are growing up too fast!

Halloween Weekend

We had an eventful month of October. Brooks, Reese and Sloane visited 2 pumpkin patches, took 2 trips to the Dallas Arboretum for the pumpkins and attended 2 Fall Festivals!
We finished up the month with some pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating.

Here's Brooks with our finished pumpkins

Brooks, Reese and Sloane helped remove all of the pumpkin seeds.

We love candy!
Steve was a good sport and wore his Superman costume while we went trick-or-treating. Our friend Tonia, and her twins Sydney and Peyton, came over to join in the fun.
Ready to go!
Happy Halloween!
