Happy 4th Birthday and the 1st snow of 2011!

Four years ago after 8 weeks of bed rest, I woke up to use the bathroom when my water unexpectedly broke! By 8:30 a.m. I was in the car with my mother driving to the hospital. Steve met us just in time to prepare for the C-section. By 11:30 a.m., Brooks, Reese and Sloane were born:
Sloane Olivia 3 lbs 3 oz
Reese Elizabeth 3 lbs 2 oz
Brooks Logan 3 lbs 9 oz
After 5 weeks in the NICU, Brooks, Reese and Sloane ALL came home on the same day!

4 years later, Reese, Brooks and Sloane showing off their 4th birthday gifts:

Already having fun in 2011!

Well we are not too far into 2011 and Brooks, Reese and Sloane have already been busy having fun!
Their preschool class had a field trip last week to the Holifield Outdoor Learning center in Plano. The children were able to see various animals such as rabbits, fish, bugs, snakes, alligators, raccoons and bobcats.
Then we took a walk on the trail and stopped for a photo:

Brooks LOVED the rabbits and kept asking me if we could take one home!
Over the holidays, we took a day to drive to Fort Worth for the Children's Museum.
Here's Sloane the "future doctor". She actually wants to be a doctor when she grows up!
Reese driving the Ambulance

Christmas 2010

Christmas was amazing this year for the Hickey Family. Brooks, Reese and Sloane are now old enough to understand the excitement of Christmas.

One of Steve's favorite gifts was this Chicago Cubs blanket:
Christmas morning was very exciting. Brooks, Reese and Sloane could not wait to see what Santa brought for them...
Zurg from Toy Story for Brooks
Woody for Sloane
Jessie for Reese
Tearing open the gifts from Santa!

Stockings from Santa...lots of goodies!
Cookies for Santa!
Listening to "Twas the Night Before Christmas"...
Christmas Eve
Church on Christmas Eve....the children create a live Nativity Scene.
Brooks, Reese and Sloane took their 1st Communion ...all as a family together.
It was a precious moment and a memory that I will treasure.
Just a few days before Christmas, Steve and I took a tour of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium. I bought the tour for Steve for Father's Day but we had been so busy we did not go until the end of the year!

Inside the Cowboys locker room...
The end of the tour concluded on the field:

The Dallas Cowboys Star is in the middle of the field...

Steve really enjoyed his belated Father's Day gift!
