Adjusting to a new city....

Moving to a new city is emotional and challenging, but Brooks, Reese and Sloane have handled the transition with ease!  We are still adjusting to the different weather as well as the way "things" run in our new city.

A few weeks ago, I had to take Brooks, Reese and Sloane to an ophthalmologist for an eye exam.  In Texas, they do not require this exam to enter Kindergarten, but in Illinois it is part of the enrollment process.  Luckily, the trio all passed the test and enjoyed wearing the sunglasses after their eyes were dilated...

I seem to have a habit of taking photos of Brooks, Reese and Sloane before they walk to the bus stop...

Before school on September 11....

Reese and Sloane are taking ballet and tap at a new dance studio....

Brooks before soccer practice....

A cool morning before school....if we were in Texas the trio would be wearing shorts!

In October, we are taking Brooks, Reese and Sloane to Disney World!  Brooks is already getting excited!

Soccer season is much colder here than in Texas!  Hats, gloves and all!

I found these super hero capes at a moms of multiples sale here....2 girl capes and 1 boy cape.  It was fate!

Brooks, Reese and Sloane look so grown up in the picture!

Hi Hickey Family
My name is Jenna
Your kids are beautiful princesses, handsome prince, cute blessings, special earthly angels, and precious gifts and miracles. I am glad you are all settling in your new surroundings. I love to watch tap and Ballette! I bet Brooks will be good in Soccer! Have tons of fun and make lots of memorys in Disney World!
I was born with a rare life threatening disease, developmental delays, and 14 other medical conditions.

Here is a new poem I wrote, it’s called it takes courage:
It Takes courage to love
Like a dove
It takes courage to fight,
It takes courage to do what’s right
It takes courage to stay strong,
When things go wrong
It takes courage to write a song
It takes courage to live
It takes courage to give
It takes courage to fight this beast
It takes courage to be brave
It takes courage to smile and wave
It takes courage to keep positive
Keep on fighting!
It takes courage to win!
