As a mom, it is bittersweet to watch your children grow up. It seems like yesterday when we had 3 small infants to care for, but now they are 3 little people!
The move from Texas to Illinois has been challenging, but I am proud to say that Brooks, Reese and Sloane have transitioned well in school as well as making new friends. One of the things that is still tough on our entire family is the weather!
The month of March is here, yet we are still experiencing days with snow!
In Texas we would be wearing shorts and dresses but her we are still wearing boots, hats and coats...
One of the things that makes me laugh is listening to Brooks, Reese and Sloane play together...their imaginations are so creative...their conversations are priceless. Sometimes I wish I had video cameras around the house to capture all of their actions and words....
Here they are playing "box people" with Girl Scout Cookie boxes.
Brooks, Reese and Sloane have learned so much this year in Kindergarten and they still have several months to go before summer. This is one of my favorite cards from Sloane...she wrote this all by herself and left in beside my bed on Valentines's Day.
Reese and Sloane joined a Daisies group this year. Steve and the girls went door to door in our neighborhood to sell cookies...in the cold weather! I was so proud of them and their motivation for selling their cookies. A few weeks later, they participated in a Girl Scout Cookie booth sale at a local Starbucks.

As Daisies, Reese and Sloane also get to take a field trip. They learned how to make pies!

Of course, we had to bake the pies for dessert!

Brooks' modeling has really taken off here in Chicago. Along with several photo ads for Kohl's, he was also pictured in the March catalogue for The Land of Nod. We are proud of our strong little guy!
