Dallas Arboretum - Toddler Tuesday

What better to do on a rainy day then take three 2 year olds to the Dallas Arboretum?? I decided to be brave and take Brooks, Reese and Sloane to Toddler Tuesday. It was actually raining while I was driving them.....but it stopped by the time we arrived....

Here is Reese during the Kindermusic class....they were moving to the music with the scarves like they were butterflies.
My 2 little butterflies....Reese and Sloane.
Brooks dancing to the music....he loves to bounce when he hears music.
Face painting is also a part of Toddler Tuesday. Since I am a "neat freak", I opted to allowing mine to get their hand painted. Of course, Reese with have NOTHING to do with the paint. Brooks and Sloane both had a ladybug painted on their hand...in fact, Sloane had both hands painted!

Reese, enjoying the beautiful May blooms.......

I had to let them out to run.....good thing they did not run in 3 directions!

Strolling through the Arboretum...looking at the flowers.....

I love this photo.....

The petting zoo was a big hit! They had a miniature horse, as well as goats and sheep.

Brooks and the sheep.....shortly after this picture was taken, Brooks decided to remove his jacket and throw it on to a pile of goat poop!

Brooks LOVED the horse! I guess he remember the pictures from our bluebonnet session.

Sloane tried to brush the goat...

Even Reese seem to like the goats......
Brooks loved how soft the bunny felt...he kept saying "soft"..."soft"...

New stuff: Kid Kraft warehouse sale!

Last Friday, I was having lunch with my friend Tanya who is pregnant with her first child. During our lunch, I received a text message from another friend...Susan...about a children's furniture sale in Dallas....cheap things! Well, when you have triplets, you are ALWAYS looking for a bargain! So, we finished lunch and rushed to the sale...it was crazy! Women with their strollers running around this huge warehouse...tagging items left and right! At one time, I got so excited trying to rush over and tag some chairs.....my foot landed in a table with wheels and BAM....I landed flat on my bottom! :)

Anyway, it was so worth it......I bought the following:
4ft doll house WITH furniture = $30
Art table with 4 chairs = $42
2 pink rocking chairs for $10 each = $20
Kitchen = $25
Wooden doll bassinet = $5
Wooden doll high chair = $5
Wooden train set = $5
Adirondack bench with cushion = $10

The other fun part......my friend and I had to make 2 trips back and forth from the sale to my house to unload! The doll house was so big, it was hanging out of the back of my Tahoe!!
Anyway, here are some pictures of some of the items:

Shoes & Sidewalk chalk

We have finally had some nice Spring weather in Texas. Brooks, Reese and Sloane were able to get outside and use some sidewalk chalk. Here is a message they wrote (with some help) for Daddy when he came home from work that day...... Reese.......
Reese and Sloane...notice Reese' bottom....she sat in some chalk....

Brooks and Reese.....

Brooks had just shoved a cracker in his mouth when I snapped this picture....nice face....

Sloane and Brooks......

My 3 little artists.....

Well, Brooks seems to be obsessed with shoes...mainly Mommy's shoes. Here he is wearing a pair of my heals.....he will hate this picture when he is 18 years old!

Bluebonnets & horses

Well, these pictures were taken almost 1 week ago....I can't stop looking at them!
Our amazing photographer, Betsy, did a small photo shoot in a field with bluebonnets and horses.

Betsy photos are below.....the first few were taken by Steve and I.....

We were happy to see that Brooks, Reese and Sloane were NOT afraid of the horses. In fact, they all wanted to feed them carrots.
Here is Reese saying "here horse" to this horse.....

Brooks is a natural.....

Brooks actually posed for this picture.....

This is one of our favorites! Again, captured by Betsy.....Brooks looks so sweet.

Our family.....capture by Betsy....another favorite!

We enjoyed this special memory with the children and look forward to many more. Now when we are driving in the car and pass a field...we can hear three little voices in the back saying "horse....horse".....love it!
